#JobSearch #Friday – Appreciation Time

This has been an interesting year. It almost seems that Mother Nature is angry at humans. Just when we think it cannot be worse with Covid-19 – people becoming ill and dying, being separated from our families. People experience a Derecho storm in Iowa and a similar storm in Utah, wildfires throughout the western Rockies, tornadoes, other natural disasters, and importantly people losing their jobs and livelihood. Then other random stuff happens.

For example, my wife and I sought some normalcy so we set up our artificial Christmas tree last weekend. The lights worked perfectly…until the day After we decorated our tree. Then the lights on the upper 2/3 of the tree faded and then went out – obviously a short somewhere. Dang! Initially, we were frustrated and a little irritated. We decided to keep the tree this year, weave some LED lights leftover from outside decorations through the tree…and laugh – anything to get close to normal. We attributed this as the crowning blow (hopefully) of the past 9 months. Certainly not the level of a disaster other people experienced. It is simply the perfect way for us to end in 2020.

How are you ending your year?

May I make a suggestion?

If you have not scheduled any networking or other job search activity, take today through January 4 off from your search. Dump the guilt. Immerse yourself in your family and friends (possibly on Zoom – that is what we are doing) or doing things that you want to do – pick up that book or books that have been calling for your attention. Take the time to refresh your brain and your soul. Reminisce about your good times, even back to childhood.

If you have followed my job search thought leadership this year, you know that I encouraged you to network this week.

However, sometimes we just get bone tired. Recognize that feeling and take time to refresh. This is a good time to reach back into your successes in the past to rejuvenate your spirit for your future.

Enjoy your Holiday Season!

Networking is the best practice to find a new career!  I wrote my books to duplicate my efforts to assist you in your search. My expert experience as both a Recruiter and Career Coach gives me a perspective few professionals have. My Salary Negotiation script solves that pain point for most career seekers. To accelerate your #Jobsearch, please immediately click on this link to my recent book, Employee 5.0: Secrets Of A Successful Job Search In The New World Orderhttp://amzn.to/2D9w39f  My book contains the 12 Steps to find a new career in a nice, orderly fashion that follows your sales process.  According to a newspaper review, “It is refreshing to find an author who speaks With you and not At you!” It also has the stories of people who did well – and some who did not. You may learn from both sides.

If you feel the need for professional Career Coaching, my business has 3 different packages. I work closely with Professionals in all three packages. The primary difference is the time and personal requirements.

  1. The first package is the 2 meetings Introductory Package.  The 2 meetings cover the basics of a Career Search.
  2. The second package is the 6 months Gold Package. This package provides you with Career Search guidance and Career Coaching for your first months in your new position.
  3. The third package is the Titanium package. Call me for details on this package because it is tailored specifically for the individual.

My Talent Attraction business model is to work with one company at a time and charge a flat monthly fee.  This enables me to become part of a company’s team for short or long periods.  Therefore, I know what is going on behind the curtain that candidates and authors outside of my field cannot see.

I am here to help you further each week.  Feel free to click on Follow US and Share at the bottom of our blog.
