Successful High Volume Contract Recruitment Experience

High volume talent attraction experience differs with each project. Bill has several high-volume, talent attraction contract recruiter consultant projects. While some people tend to look at the aggregate, Bill breaks down the project into the smallest pieces and methodically creates a strategy for success. Many searches may be run in tandem. If the high volume recruiting need contains cookie-cutter positions, a different approach is created than when recruiters are hiring a high volume of one-off specialists.

The value, or even purpose, of developing recruitment strategies generally is misunderstood within companies. Many times, companies seem to fail to realize that recruiting is a sales process. As such, it is a dynamic process that should change the instant your competition for talent improves. What does the recruitment strategy include?

If a perfect fit executive is nearby but is involved in another search, you will not see their resume until they are no longer a candidate in the previous search. 220 high tech Positions Filled In small City

Based in Pentagon City, VA, we recruited almost 220 IT professionals and relocated most of them from around the country to Cedar Rapids in only 20 months. The project was massive. Typically, we had as many as 80 open requisitions at a time. We would interview in 2 to 3 cities per week (two weeks out of each month), interview 18 to 24 candidates per day, and make hiring decisions every evening. Then we arranged for site visits by the candidates who received offers. At the same time, the candidates visited MCI’s offices, representatives of Iowa Realty (led by Mary Penney and Sue Byers) gave them tours of the city. Their work was key to the success of the project. In addition to recruitment, we utilized our project management skills. This was a great example of teamwork with the managers and HR to be very successful.

We did it on a flat monthly fee. Therefore, we saved MCI approximately $2.4 million had they paid contingent fees.

"Bill successfully led recruiting efforts to rebuild a staff of over 100 from scratch in under a year after a departmental relocation at MCI. His professionalism and results were of such quality that I was very happy to hire him again when I needed to augment my staff at Telegroup. Bill is a very capable recruiter and a consummate professional. I hope to work with him again in the future."
