You may be thinking that since I write these Job Search Friday Blogs my world is all good. Now, I will be direct and personal. This week, I was informed by my now former publisher that they will not publish my new book nor will they create the cover they committed to creating. Obviously, I am not looking for a new career like some of my followers and for that I am thankful. However, this is a major disappointment.
How Did I Respond To This Bad News?
I created an Opportunity from it. My new book, Expect Success! The Art Of The Over 50 Career Search will now be published by The Corporate Recruiting Press, my new business – think of it as a grape press with the delicious wines that are created. My wine is my thought leadership!
This new arrangement gives me total control of all aspects of my writing, including editing, publishing dates, and profitability. This will lead to the release of my new book and then a series of mini-books focused on both the Career Search for you and Talent Attraction Steps for Executives and Human Resource Leaders – all written so they may be absorbed and implemented immediately!
